St. David’s Girls’ High Bonda is an Anglican boarding school for girls located in Sanyatwe, Zimbabwe. School History

St. David’s Girls’ High Bonda was founded in 1961 by the sisters of the Order of the Holy Paraclete, who were invited by the Anglican Diocese of Zimbabwe to establish an institution for educating young women. The first principal was Sister Margaret Clere, who served from 1961 to 1972, followed by Sister Rosa until 1978. Initially, the school was run by the religious order, but administration was later transferred to the Anglican Diocese of Manicaland.

In 1978, Mr. Gervas Chidawanyika became the first lay principal, leading the school until 1993. Since its establishment, St. David’s Girls’ High Bonda has remained committed to providing quality education for young women, producing graduates who have gone on to contribute to various sectors in Zimbabwe and beyond.

Academic and Extracurricular Activities

St. David’s Girls’ High Bonda offers a range of academic subjects, including Mathematics, English, Science, Geography, History, Accounts, Business Studies, Agriculture, Computer Studies, and Fashion & Fabrics. The school has a track record of strong academic performance, with students consistently achieving good results in national examinations.
